Francesca Campo — classical harpist, researcher and harp teacher
Francesca Campo is an Italian harpist and music researcher whose work bridges
tradition and innovation. Born to Sicilian parents and raised in Verona, she took
her Bachelor's degree in harp at the State Conservatory of Turin and her Master's

Harp Competition in Utrecht in April 2026 — the only Italian among the 13
semifinalists — competing with her own research programme.

Research — L'eco dal popolo
L'eco dal popolo (The Echo from the People) rediscovers the forgotten harp
repertoire of 19th-century Southern Italy through three echoes of Sicilian
history: the Sicilian Vespers of 1282, the uprising of 1848 and the landing of the
Thousand in 1860. The research was completed at the Royal Conservatoire of The
Hague in 2024/2025 under the supervision of Andrew Wright, and published on the
Research Catalogue (DOI 10.22501/koncon.3101116). It produced Sikelia, a
new work made with the Composition Department of the Conservatory of Palermo.
